The Good News
The Good News of the Gospel is this:
God loves us deeply and desires a relationship with us.
Though humanity fell into sin and separation, God did not turn us away. Instead, in His mercy and love, He stepped toward us. Even while we were still sinners, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to restore what was broken and to make a way back to Him.
Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us"
Jesus lived a sinless life, fully revealing the heart of God, and willingly gave Himself on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Through His death, our debt was paid, and through His resurrection, victory over sin and death was secured. The cross stands as the greatest expression of God’s love, and the empty tomb declares that new life is available to all who believe.
Philippians 2:8 - "And being found in appearance as a man, [Jesus] humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross."
Salvation is not something we earn through good works or personal effort; it is a gift of grace. We are saved by faith through grace, not by what we have done, but by what Christ has already accomplished. When we place our trust in Jesus, we are forgiven, made new, and welcomed into the family of God with the promise of eternal life
Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."
This is the good news of the Gospel: that there is forgiveness for the past, purpose for today, and resurrection life for the future. In Christ, we are redeemed, restored, and empowered to live in the freedom God always intended. This Good News continues to transform lives, bringing light, healing, and hope to all who receive it.
Colossians 1:13-14 - "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins."
